Meet Cohort 14 – Fellows of the Marketplace Africa Positioning Fellowship, a program designed to empower young Africans with the skills and knowledge to succeed as professionals and entrepreneurs in the African marketplace.
Developed by The Center for Entrepreneurship, Leadership & Business Management Development (CELBMD) Africa in partnership with Peak Performers University, a United States-based professional training institution, the program targets university students, graduate job seekers, young professionals, and entrepreneurs from across Africa and the diaspora.
The program includes 12 modules and practical career application activities, divided into two tracks: the Corporate Track, which includes modules such as Techniques to Build an International Career, Conquering Career and Business Challenges, and How to Become Significant in the Corporate World as a Young Person, and the Entrepreneurship Track, which includes modules such as Critical Success Factors in Career and Business, Push for High Profitability in Your Business, and Virtual Collaboration Skills.
The African youth unemployment rate is at 60% according to the International Labour Organization, and the program is contributing to upskilling and reskilling African young people with the right skills to increase success rate.
